Responsibilities

Human Resource Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and performs Human Resources functions required of two communities at The Homeplace at Midway and Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods.

 

  • Assists Administrator in human resources matters
  • Maintains accurate employee information in personnel records and computer files such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, training and performance, reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason
  • Oversees human resources management, personnel issues, and training records
  • Oversees hiring and general orientation of new personnel and processes all necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Communicates and implements benefits programs and services, compiles necessary reports
  • Conducts employee training related to HR issues
  • Assists with payroll activities
  • Serves as liaison to PSC Human Resources Department
  • Prepares, processes, and reviews employee incident/accident reports, and workers’ compensation claims
  • Directly communicates with workers’ compensation claims administrator
  • Works with Administrator and Supervisors to achieve consistency, clarity, and fairness in employee appraisals and disciplinary actions
  • Issues performance evaluations to Supervisors one month prior to completion due date
  • Tracks performance evaluation completion by Supervisors and reports non-compliance
  • Prepares Human Resources statistical reports as requested
  • Coordinates FMLA Administration for all employees; includes tracking, ensuring compliance with law
  • Responds to unemployment claims and represents Louisville CHC, FH and CH at hearings
  • Administers the procedures for drug screening in accordance with the Organization’s Substance Abuse Screening Policy

Qualifications

What will you need as a Human Resource Manager?

Required Education:            Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university

Required Experience:          5 years’ professional human resources experience; 2 years’ experience in training and development

Preferred Experience:          Nonprofit; senior living or long term care sector

 

Business travel is a requirement of position; proof of valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. If personal vehicle is used to transport self or others; proof of insurance of $100,000 single limit of liability
