 Director of Resident Services Responsibilities:


The incumbent performs job responsibilities without posing a significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of him/her or others while maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures of Christian Care Communities and within the parameters of the Organization’s mission, vision, and values.


  • Implements approaches and services to maintain or enhance resident independence and resident satisfaction as it relates to independent living, assisted senior care, and memory care services.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of all functions within delegated span of authority; prepares and submits reports as required.
  • Develops and maintains accurate data on the needs of the facility and its residents.
  • Provides or secures transportation for residents for scheduled social programs.
  • Responds to emergencies for residents and/or building concerns.
  • Oversees the calendar of social programs for residents and attends as needed.

  • Responds to the needs or concerns raised by residents and/or their family members, visitors, and members of the Resident Council; coordinates with appropriate departments to ensure resident issues/concerns are addressed promptly.

  • Responsible for all financial matters of independent living, assisted senior care, and memory care services.

  • Develops and maintains operating budget including capital needs and requests as well as contract labor as needed.

  • Maintains systems and controls which adequately safeguard the facility's cash and other assets, and which produces reliable and accurate information, records and reports.

  • Is responsible for proper maintenance of petty cash funds and assigned operating accounts.

  • Oversees and participates as necessary with marketing activities to maintain high occupancy rates that achieves budgeted goals.

  • Reviews deficiencies noted during inspections, internal audits and other examinations; develops a plan of correction and provides written copies to the applicable authorities.

  • Oversees physical Plant Operations of the campus.

  • Supports organization-wide initiatives to identify best practices for recruitment, workforce planning, talent development, retention and recognition of excellence in operations.

  • Assists with ensuring adequate staffing while ensuring continuity and consistency in delivery and quality of services, as requested.

  • Serves as lead manager and primary point of contact in the absence of the Executive Director or as directed.

  • Maintains compliance with applicable rules, regulatory and organizational guidelines, related to personal care services.

  • Uphold a leadership position on the Quality Assurance Process Improvement (QAPI) committee.

  • Serves as a member of the Leadership Roundtable Team.

Director of Resident Services Work Hrs./ Shifts:

  • Full Time / AM Shift



What will you need as a Director of Resident Services?


  • Required Education:               Bachelor’s degree from 4 year college or university or the equivalent 4 years’ education/training and/or experience in property management
  • Preferred Education:               Bachelor’s degree in health services administration, business administration, or a health-related field
  • Required Experience:              5 years’ management experience

  • Preferred Experience:             1 year experience in rental property and/or senior housing management
  • Required Certification or Licensures:     Kentucky State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class C with passenger
